This camp is a great way to get ready for pre-season. It also offers more advanced training along with more agility and speed training. (Note: if you are 14 years old and an incoming freshman you can choose to participate in the either the day camp or the high school camp.)
Micro Camp- Ages 5-8 (at the Wilkes-Barre location only) This is the most convenient way for young players to experience camp. This is a week long program that runs simultaneously with the Day Camp at Wilkes-Barre but is from 9am-12noon. It is designed to introduce the young player to the fundamentals of soccer. The emphasis each day is teaching the players to get comfortable with dribbling and controlling the ball. This is done with fun soccer related activities.
High School Camp- 8th-12th graders (at Catasauqua and Wilkes-Barre locations) This is the best training to help you prepare for the school season. Our coaches, who have played collegiate soccer (most at the Division I level) know what you need to be successful and we will guide you and give you the tools to improve as a player and an individual.
Striker/Keeper Clinic This is a one day camp. Our coaches will teach forwards how to properly strike a ball and develop your shot to obtain maximum velocity. Goal keepers will learn shot stopping, position, communication, and reading tendencies of forwards during the high-paced action of this camp. "Every summer, from second grade up until I was a senior in high school, I attended the Bastidas Soccer Academy camp. The exceptional teaching and guidance from the coaches, along with the fun yet competitive environment of the camp is what kept me coming back every summer. The camp provides players with a wonderful combination of developmental exercises and fun, all while instilling the importance of respect and being a great team player. Attending this camp every year enhanced both my soccer skills, and my love for the game." Amanda Martin - BMYSA "My experience growing up and participating in the BSA summer camp each year is one of my fondest memories. The culture of great competition, skill, and fun culminated a phenomenal atmosphere to fall in love with the game as well as better oneself on the field. There’s a lot of emphasis on personal development, both in skill and in sport mentality. Attending the camp overall increased my desire to become a better player and person, as well as to pursue playing at the collegiate level." Emily Sutton - BMYSA and Wilkes University ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "As a child and through my teenage years I attended many different soccer camps of varying levels of play. The Bastidas Soccer Academy Camp was by far my favorite camp to attend every year. The camps have the perfect combination of teaching the fundamentals of soccer, player development, and fun. It is appealing to players of all skill levels, something I found hard to find at other soccer camps." A.J. Nardone - BMYSA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "As a high school soccer coach, I could not be more pleased with the results of sending my team to the Bastidas Soccer Academy. My soccer team came into the season with a greater knowledge of the game, improved foot skills and, most importantly, team unity. The coaching my players received while attending the academy was second to none, with each player getting important feedback to improve their skills. I highly recommend this soccer academy to any player who enjoys the game and is trying to improve every aspect of their playing skills." Ryan Sharkazy, Head Coach, Palmerton
